Debra A. Toney, PhD, RN, FAAN is the director of operations for Nevada Health Centers in Las Vegas, Nevada the state’s largest federally qualified community health center with 16 locations. For more than 30 years, she has been on the frontlines of patient care delivery. She is passionate about the organization’s mission of providing quality care to those in underserved communities.
Dr. Toney works diligently on behalf of the nursing and health professions. She is the secretary for the National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurse Associations, immediate Past President of the National Black Nurses Association, and is a member of the board of directors for the American Academy of Nursing. Dr. Toney the chair of the Nevada Action Coalition.
Dr. Toney was chosen as a Torchbearer in the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay for her commitment to living positively and making a difference in communities.
